Copy That! Midlands Ltd.

a freelance copywriter in the midlands?

let me introduce myself

I’m Heather Moore, a freelance copywriter with well-thought-through commercial copy. Agencies and entrepreneurs tell me they love working with me because I listen, understand them, and get on with it. Which means they can get on with doing whatever they do best.

what I do

I write websites, POS and marketing, blogs, email, PR and socials for B2B and B2C clients.

what I am like

I like anything fun (= competitive) and specifically: writing, pub quizzes, my kids, Green Day, drawing for my kids, coffee, hospitality, escape rooms, my husband, florentines, rounders, basil, my mum, coffee cake, Venice, creative writing, Daniel Kitson, softball cricket, Wordle, fiction, outdoor film screenings, Bananagrams, TaskMaster, puns, One Minute Briefs, walks in Derbyshire, Van Gogh, stand-up comedy, Queen, and tombolas.

what I don’t like

Because I have tastebuds, I don’t like coriander.

why me?

If you can’t find the words, don’t have time to watch your Ps and Qs, or aren’t getting your fair share of website traffic or conversion, call me. I’ll have your back.

copy that midlands ltd. in a nutshell?

20 years of commercial experience

I have nurtured my passion for hospitality and food & drink by working in many different commercial roles. I have spent the last couple of decades working in sales and marketing for leading FMCG and pub companies.

So, if you need a freelance copywriter with blue chip food and drink brand experience to lighten your load, I'm your girl.

trade and brand marketing

I tucked into food and drink retail on the M&S graduate scheme and I clicked with B2B vending machine sales with Mars. And I was sold on National Account Management for Thorntons.
I hopped over to beer trade marketing and brand management at Molson Coors. I popped over to Refresco, to market soft drinks. And finally raised the bar in pub marketing for Greene King.

Now I can draw on my commercial and food & drink experience, as a freelance copywriter specialising in hospitality.

copywriting experience

I have been the go-to for (big breath):

giant cake names, B2C emails for 250k+ hospitality brand subscribers, TOV documents, solopreneurs websites, press releases, social bios, antiques blogs, charity social media copy, amending ATL and BTL agency copy, creating, editing and updating web page copy...

and promotional copy, social content calendars, creating food and drink menu descriptors, care home brochures, investment door drops, pub walk maps, internal comms profiles, internal HR brochure editing, research ideation, SEO and UX testing, menu launch scripts, and sales presentations.
Because... well, why not?!
